Feriel Moulaï and I speak the same language Fashion, Hijab Chic and French. We first noticed our Model Crush Monday new face on the streets of Paris Fashion Week.  We even stole her style by copying her beret and hijab looks. 

We also share that our blood that runs deep in Algeria and pride. Follow her and Style Cartel as Real Feriel tells us her fashion model journey and future goals.

The world of Fashion and beauty has always fascinated me and I discover my passion for modelling when I was a child.  I am graduated in Biochemistry with a specialisation in Cosmetology and I decided to share my expertise with everyone wishing to learn more about homemade healthy beauty products via my Youtube Channel: MissBeauty.   I currently work in a pharmacy where I also advise patients on cosmetics that suit them best.

SC: What was your first memory of fashion?

Feriel Moulaï: I don’t really remember my first ever memory of fashion but the images that come to my mind are from the music videos of George Michael Freedom and Too Funky with The ’90s Supermodels. They are iconic and so inspiring to me.

SC: How were you discovered?

Feriel Moulaï: A few months ago, I applied to become a model with the agencies I am now with.  They met me and it was like a crush, they loved my physique, my style, and my personality.  They found something special in me so I signed with them.

SC: What has been your favourite modelling career moment so far?

Feriel Moulaï: Everything I’ve done in my career has a special place for me and I’ve enjoyed every job I have worked.

SC: What is your signature feature?

Feriel Moulaï: My eyes, my lips and the beauty mark on my upper lip is probably the most prominent feature.

SC: Snapchat or Instagram Stories?

 

Feriel Moulaï: Instagram! I don’t have snapchat.

SC: Who is your dream designer to walk or work for?

Feriel Moulaï: There are numerous but to name a few: Versace, Max Mara, Dolce and Gabbana, Elie Saab, Chanel, Philip Plein, Balmain, Tom Ford, Zuhair Murad, Yeezy, Tommy Hilfiger…

SC: What is your must-have on the road beauty/tech product?

Feriel Moulaï: My BB Cream with SPF 50 from Vichy and a lip balm.

SC: What are you up to when you’re not modelling?

Feriel Moulaï: I am currently working in Pharmacy and I have a Youtube Channel where I share my beauty tips, my style, and makeup tutorials.

SC: Where do you see yourself in five years?

Feriel Moulaï: In New York with a successful career ( Supermodel and Actress and with a business of my own), a successful personal life, and make a meaningful impact on the world with my values and aspirations.

SC: What model do you look up to?

Feriel Moulaï: Cindy Crawford.

I love how she is able to balance her personal life, her career and building her business.

SC: What would you change about the modelling game?

Feriel Moulaï: I would like to see the modelling industry more democratized and reflecting the multicultural world we live in.  

SC: What are you listening to right now?

 Feriel Moulaï: My music taste is eclectic. I appreciate listening to a different kind of music on the same day: Jazz, R’n’B, Rock…Pop but right now, I am listening to XXXTentacion, Lil Pump, Maluma & Swae Lee: Arms around You!

SC: If I were a casting agent why should I book you?

Feriel Moulaï: Because I am Unique, I am a Versatile model and I have a pleasant, professional attitude with good people skills. And I Enjoy my job.

SC: Runway or Commercial?

Feriel Moulaï: Both!

SC: What are you grateful for?

Feriel Moulaï: There are too many things to be grateful for…I am grateful for everything I have (health, family, travelling and meeting new people,…), all the opportunities in my life. And I am grateful today for your consideration and for this opportunity to get featured on your Online Magazine.

SC: We pride ourself on creating stories that reflect the world we live in.  We are all about diversity and inclusion, so we had to meet you and find out what is in the brain of an Algerian Belgium Muslim women. Yet, we will leave that discussion for next time. Thank you for speaking with us.
