TV presenter and body icon Kirsty Gallacher launches striking campaign with footcare brand Scholl to encourage women to show off their feet – as new research reveals that 84% of British women think they should give their feet more TLC!
Kirsty takes centre stage in the show-stopping circus-themed photoshoot as she’s never been seen before – showcasing her perfectly pedicured feet. The campaign shots see her swinging on a trapeze in a floaty chiffon yellow dress, donning a dazzling diamond-encrusted black bustier and tutu, and strutting her acrobatic stuff on a circus wheel. Shot by renowned fashion photographer David Oldham, the theatrical images bring to life that feeling of weightlessness you experience when your feet look and feel great.
Kirsty says having beautiful feet makes her feel confident and a third of women surveyed agree. 1 She comments, “I am so much more confident when my feet look and feel great. I like mine to be beautifully buffed, soft, smooth and comfortably prepared to pound the pavement! If you look after your feet, they’ll look after you!”
The new research highlights that women believe great feet should look smooth (67%), have no hard skin (67%) and feel soft (53%). Yet, over a quarter admit they don’t look after their feet at all in the summer, with 39% putting it off because professional pedicures are too expensive. Over a fifth say they don’t know how to do a pedicure at home, while 17% don’t feel they have the tools they need. 1
