Hydra Genius Aloe Water by L’Oréal Paris | Beauty Review

Hydra Genius is a moisturizer that L’Oréal has launched a few months ago. I first heard about it by the Youtuber Carly Cristman. She talked about it before the launch and said it was really good for her dry skin.

There are two products that I impulsively buy : concealer and moisturizer.

I remember buying this one while I was still using the Moisrure Surge (Extended Thirst Relief) by Clinique. Not that I didn’t like it, I actually loved it, it was really good to my skin, but I was shut down by the price (30 euros for 50 ml).

I have always been a fan of L’oréal, whether it is makeup, hair care or skin care. So, yes, I admit it, I bought it impulsively. The price was affordable, 12 euros for 70 ml.

What does it claim to do ?

The main ingredient of this moisturizer is aloe water. It is known to repair, hydrate and sooth the skin.

Do I agree with it ?

Yes, definitely yes. I would re-purchase it with no hesitation whatsoever. I have really dry skin lately, and my skin is sensitive, I am always careful about I apply on my face. When I first tried it, of course I was a little nervous. But it faded away really quickly. With the first application, I noticed the amount of hydration my skin was having.

Is there any bad side ?

Well, my first thought when I opened the bottle was the smell. I really didn’t like it. I thought it had a wierd scent, but I got used to it. That would be my only complaint.

You can buy this moisturizer according to your skin type : normal & dry skin (I bought the second).

Basically, I highly recommend it, especially if you have dry skin. The texture is very light-weight, and is infused with water, which guarantees a good hydration.
