The Hôtel Aiglon Review
At the Hôtel Aiglon in Paris is your view of Parisian Life. The hotel is situated in an everyday Parisian neighbourhood where you can look in the lives of everyday Parisians. With terraces where you can rub shoulders with the neighbours or spy on them by looking into their windows. One of my favourite things to do when travelling is to peer into people’s apartments. I love to see how the locals are living.
The hôtel is a member of Esprit de France, a collection of hotels and residences rich in art and history. When you walk into the hotel you will notice this straight away. The hôtel Aiglon Paris is located in the heart of Montparnasse, close by many theatres, the Fondation Cartier, the Catacombs and some mythical tourist spots. Surrounded by Parisian brasseries such as Le Jockey, La Closerie des Lilas and many more. The hotel has parking!! A rare luxury in central Paris!
The Hôtel Aiglon rooms are like an apartment, and with lots of space to spread out, lounge and store your suitcases. With plenty of treats in the mini bar to snack on after your long day of sightseeing and shopping. Now it’s time to move to your luxury bathroom with both a shower and bath. You can be delighted to know you can have breakfast downstairs with all your neighbours or up in your room.
I can think of a lot of naughty things to get up to in there. It is like his and her bathroom with plenty of room for his and her beauty and grooming products.
Now move into to your bedroom, yes, the toilet, mini kitchen, and queen size bathroom are all separate! In the bedroom, you find a lovely coloured room with lots of pillows for a pillow fight. A huge flat screen TV, with French and International channels and a desk to write a few postcards.
You will also find a little goodie bag of treats to help you have a great nights sleep. There are a cute face mask, a pillow perfume and a soothing face cream. Thank you Hotel Hôtel Aiglon Paris.
You can also look out on your terrace and enjoy a real Parisian experience. The lounge and breakfast room are decorated in a contemporary manner, mixing light blue, warm plum and bright colours. You will enjoy this decor skimming through one of the numerous art books from the library. The hotel Aiglon manages to create a link between present and attachment to artists and writers from the past. The painters Bunuel and Giacometti used to stay in the hotel.
The district near Hôtel Aiglon
This of this neighbourhood is at the turn of the 20th century, this rural district was favoured by the artists of the Paris school; between the two world wars, it’s bars were frequented by painters and the lost generation of American writers. The creative liveliness of its famous cafes and studios has left its mark on the district.
The streets around the Montparnasse area are busy day-in-day-out, so be prepared for a buzzing night. Or a pillow fight.
