Henrietta Hotel Travel Tuesday Hotspot
If you are on the hunt for your for a London hotel in Covent Garden, then I beat the drum loudly for the Henrietta Hotel. From the minute this New Yorker Parisienne entered the new London Hotspot for the fashion and model set to rest our heads, I felt at home. It is conveniently situated between fashion week locations, on a calm street so those on the down low can enter and leave without being noticed. You can also get picked up and dropped off easily by Uber or Addison Lee cars.
The Henrietta Hotel is the first London-based hotel from the collective behind Experimental Group. The creative minds behind the establishment are Romée de Goriainoff, Pierre-Charles Cros, Olivier Bon and Xavier Padovani. The decor of the hotel takes you back to the 20s and invites you to swing in the rooms down to the restaurant. With vintage like bathrooms, books and vintage radio and telephone in rooms.
Don’t worry 18 bedrooms, designed by Dorothée Meilichzon (CHZON), also has modern technology. Right next to the beds are USB ports to recharge. Gone are the days of needing a comforter in these new boutique style hotels ready for millennials, business people, and the fashion crowd. Allowing people like myself to social media our stay. Follows us on Instagram to see more.
The most importantly enjoy the enormous bathrooms big enough for more than two. Put on your complementary rob and slips and go stare out the window and enjoy the view of the London Eye.
Tell us what color it is when your there. When my special someone and I were there it was RED!
Then Henrietta Hotel gave these lovers a weekend with a huge bed to get some rest in. Yet, before we decided to turn in for the night and watch a movie we headed downstairs for dinner and drinks. The crew behind this sexy London hotel has the collective’s passion for food, wine, cocktails, and design.
It joins the fold with a new restaurant led by Michelin starred chef Ollie Dabbous. The restaurant is buzzing with people and the staff always greet you with a smile and willing to help.
As you go downstairs you can treat yourself to the all the history that surrounds you. A bold history rich in art, literature, and music, Henrietta Street dates back to 1634 noting painter Samuel Scott and actress Kitty Clive as former residents.
Henrietta Hotel & Restaurant combines two townhouses at numbers 14 & 15 Henrietta Street; both with their own varied histories. No. 14 Henrietta Street once housed the office of Victor Gollancz Ltd, who published George Orwell, Kingsley Amis and John Le Carré among others. No. 15 Henrietta Street, designed by HE Pollard, is an Anglo-Dutch style featuring red brick and terracotta.
Henrietta Hotel is located just off of Covent Garden Market and close to The Strand. On their doorstep, guests on a culinary escapade will have access to some of London’s best restaurants and bars, and for those in search of London’s great cultural offerings, they will just a stroll from theatres, cinemas, museums, and shopping. In addition to staying, dining or drinking with them, they can also host private receptions, events, and meetings.
