GUCCI SPRING SUMMER 2019 COLLECTION IN PARIS
I have to admit I quite bored of Gucci at the moment. If I see another reality star or rapper in the brand I just might puke. But wait, now this is news Gucci SPRING SUMMER 2019 COLLECTION IN PARIS?! It is totally a fashion moment. What will be interesting is what slot they get. Before Balmain, after YSL or the same time as YPRoject. Let’s take the bets now.
THE HOUSE WILL RETURN TO SHOW ITS COLLECTIONS IN ITS MILAN HUB FROM FEBRUARY 2019
Gucci has announced the presentation of its Spring Summer 2019 collection in Paris on September 24th, as part of a three-part homage to France. The news has been officially shared with the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana and the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode. The House will return to its Milan Hub to present its future fashion shows in February 2019. Additionally, together with Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, Gucci is working on a special event to be held at the Gucci Hub on Wednesday, September 19th.
Gucci to Invade Paris Fashion Week
Under the vision of Alessandro Michele, Gucci began a creative homage to France starting with the Pre-Fall 2018 campaign which recreated the May 1968 student protests in Paris, a historical movement that continues to inspire new generations. The Cruise 2019 fashion show will took place on the ancient site of the Promenade Des Alyscamps in Arles on May 30th, following on from other unprecedented locations including the art district of New York in 2015, the cloisters of London’s Westminster Abbey in 2016 and the Galleria Palatina of Palazzo Pitti in Florence in May 2017. Paris, the epicentre of French culture, has been the natural choice as the setting for the Spring Summer 2019 fashion show.
Marco Bizzarri, Gucci President and CEO, said: “Gucci is a global brand with deep and vibrant Italian roots and a visionary French shareholder, Kering. When Alessandro told me of his desire to present the new collection in Paris – continuing the French-inspired narrative – I thought it was a perfect way to continue the creative homage to France. We have chosen to present the show on Monday, September 24th, the transition day between Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks to avoid impacting schedules. We will then look forward to returning to Milan in February 2019.”
Carlo Capasa, President of the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, said: “The Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana understands and respects the reasons behind Gucci’s request to present its Spring Summer 2019 fashion show in Paris on this occasion and will look forward to Guccireturning to open Milan Fashion Week next February.”
It will be interesting to see who get the golden ticket to the show. Which influencers and celebrities will be flown in as well. The street style game will be off the chain. All I hope for his to see Dapper Dan on the streets of Paris and any wow moments.
