Duck & Dry London Takes Over Oxford Street
As a working professional woman sometimes getting your nails and eyebrows done can be a job in itself. It takes time and money to look good these days. Now Duck & Dry have hit the high-street of London to save the day for we career girls and budding entrepreneurs who are watching their spending.
Style Cartel was invited to be the first to experience the new hair and beauty services brought to you by Duck & Dry Xpress. I finally was able to get my eyebrows, nails and pedicure done in on place. Among other things the price is reasonable.
Duck & Dry Xpress
Duck & Dry Xpress have two locations right on Oxford Street one in the heart of the street and one at the New Primark closer to Tottemcourt Road. We joined them on the day they joined forces to launch the store’s beauty services. Thank gosh they are open late so I can get my nails and eyebrows done after work instead of drinks! I have been back 3 times, since the March 18th opening.
Having changed the lives of budget fashionista’s, Primark is doing the same for high street beauty rituals. Nowadays many retailers opt to add a restaurant or coffee bar, not Primark.
The way the world is going consumers are watching their wallets so, spots like the new London blow dry bar Duck & Dry speaks to the clients who come to London for inexpensive trends. Since the 18 March, hair, nail and brow stations are available at Primark’s Oxford Street branch in London, followed by a 3000 square foot salon in the new biggest-ever Primark set to open in the Midlands in April. A further 40 stores are set to join in by 2020.
Beauty technicians are very diverse and friendly. Prices are suitable for young women and mature women who watch their budgets and still want to look polished: £13-£17 for a blow dry, £10 for a file and polish and £6 for threading. Pedis, updos, braiding, brow and lash tinting plus gel mani’s are also on the menu and if you love hair accessories you can add on from £5. There’s even an under-11s offering with £10 hairdos. Choose from three stations in store: ‘Duck & Dry Xpress’, ‘Duck & Pluck’ and ‘Duck & File’ (the names speak for themselves).
Duck & Dry founder Yulia Rorstrom said: “We are so excited to be collaborating with Britain’s largest fashion retailer and found their vision to provide fast-paced beauty services to the high street very inspiring. The Duck & Dry brand experience will enhance their vision with our know-how of express, quality beauty services, along with our vibrant, signature aesthetics, at high street prices.”
So far we’ve been impressed with Primark’s commitment to quality budget beauty. For me personally, the hotspot is a life saver. Now I do not have to rush to a nail and brow appointment after work. I can take my time and not worry about the bill after. If you live in London or stopping through and need a quick polish with a smile then let the Duck Squad hook you up. We highly recommend the service with a smile.
