Designer to Watch: Dorian Stefano Tarantini of M1992

What’s going down in Pitti Uomo? Of course Men’s Fashion Week. Which brings me for another designer to watch in Milan. My pick, Dorian Stefano Tarantini of Malibu 1992 (aka M1992). Milan born designer has already designed for Marni back in 2010.

If you don’t know who Dorian is or his brand M1992 get it on your radar ASAP. Dorian is a DJ, designer also an influencer. He became creative director at the club Plastic for over a decade. With an impeccable resume, there isn’t a doubt about him pushing the limits. Dorian’s new collection, in my opinion, is bringing back the 80s yet a modern twist. M1992 is definitely forecasting a whole new trend in this latest collection. The western buckle belt, the denim blazer, the denim-inspired bomber – shall I go on? Also, did I mention, it’s gender fluid?!!!! M1992 FW18 is inspired by post Internet yuppie, futuristic element, nostalgia. A bit of a Rebel longing for Raegan era carefree, attitude inspired by Yale and Princeton. From Tweed suits to crop top for men. M1992 is truly an inspiration for my everyday wear as of today.
