MYBA Charter Show
Porto Antico, Genoa, 24th – 27th April 2017
The Genoa Charter Show is a trade-only event that leads up to the hugely popular Palma Superyacht Show on the Spanish island of Mallorca. Both events open the superyacht season in the Mediterranean and both are organised by MYBA (The Worldwide Yachting Association) who set the benchmark for professionalism and ethics in the industry. Yacht owners, brokers and press come to the Italian port city from all corners of the globe to survey a selection of luxury yachts which range from 24m vessels to the larger 70+m superyachts. Participants enjoy a host of events including lunches, competitions, seminars and parties.
Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta
Porto Cervo, Sardinia, 30th May – 3rd June, 2017
The Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta is an annual event that opens the Mediterranean superyacht season to the public. Organised by Yacht Club Costa Smeralda and Boat
International Media, the regatta takes place in Porto Cervo. The prestigious event brings together a maximum of thirty of the world’s largest and most beautiful sailing yachts, which race in courses that traverse Sardinia’s La Maddalena archipelago. The first regatta took place in 2008 and it has become renowned for the magnificent prowess of the participating yachts as well as for the entertaining social programme offered to spectators on shore. Genoa International Boat Show

The Genoa International Boat Show (Salone Nautico) is a premier event on the international calendar. It has a fantastic reputation for showcasing a wide range of nautical products and pleasure boats. The exhibition area covers 100,000 square metres of water basin surface and more than 200,000 square metres of pavilions and outdoor areas next to Genoa’s harbour. Last year’s show featured 900 exhibitors and 1,400 boats on display, with over 30% of them available for sea trials. The Genoa Boat Show attracts yachting professionals, owners and charter guests alike who take this amazing opportunity to inspect and familiarise themselves with the most luxurious yachting products and services. There’s also plenty of entertainment on offer and those who love diving, swimming, rowing, canoeing and surfing can participate in some special activities.
The Nespresso Cup Wally Regatta, Portofino
First held in 2010, The Nespresso Cup is a regatta solely for Wally Sailing Yachts held in the iconic sailing venue of Portofino. It features two races per day, over three days and brings together professional and weekend sailors who enjoy the unique camaraderie of the event. Similarly, visitors who are on a Portofino yacht charter will love the spectacle of these majestic vessels cutting through the waves against the stunning backdrop of the town.

Seatec is an international trade fair of technologies, suppliers and designers of boats, megayachts and ships. It is the only exhibition in Italy aimed exclusively at shipyards and their suppliers, so it’s only really of interest if you are an industry professional. It incorporates the YARE event (Yachting After sales & Refit Exhibition), the first international boat show committed to services following the purchase of a yacht.
