This Accessory Saturday we give you a preview of the Sergio Rossi Cruise Collection Out This Fall. The shoes to channel your inner Audrey Hepburn Breakfast at Tiffany’s look, or dance to the beat of your own drum, sassy dancing shoes. The Sergio Rossi Cruise Collection 2014, are inspired by the works of renowned artist Gabriella Crespi, feminine and seductive with unique shapes and original contrasts of materials.
The Creative Director Angelo Ruggeri, uses symbols of Crespi’s aesthetics and geometric shapes typical of the seventies, the period in which the artist was most prolific, blended with the feminine elegance of Sergio Rossi style. These shoes beckon you to fly away with a pair of these butterfly motif heels on your feet. The pumps and sandals are adorned with butterflies and made of two layers of leather in contrasting colors with a see-through effect, while the black suede and metallic-finish leather sculpture-wedge captures the lines of the famous Yang Yin table.
The artist’s style and her originality in combining chromatic modules and contrasting materials, an expression of the artistic vibrancy of her time, also inspire the daytime footwear of this collection. A tortoise shell motif, woven leather, and dazzling shades of ibis and aquamarine interpret those years when people returned to their roots and embraced the natural world and its elements. The sorbet nuances of ibis define the colors of Mary Janes and pumps, while shades of aquamarine illuminate the python leather of sandals with a distinctive dome heel and the fern-printed satin of the sling back pump. All we know is some Afro-Cuban Soul plus a pair of dancing shoes. Here is to happy dancing feet in a pair of Sergio Rossi Cruise Collection Out This Fall.
