If you are a fashionista in town for Paris Fashion week, this location is idele to move around the city from shows to parties.
This Travel Tuesday we had the opportunity to stay at the four-star hotel Du Rond Point Des Champs Élysées. It has Vuitton’s je ne sais quoi all over it. If you have a sauna and Pool at your fingertips, why not take a break in between fashion shows and parties. The hotel decor will put you in the mood to wear something fancy with glitter on it.
My Parisian Life: The Hotel Du Rond Point Des Champs Élysées PFW Hotspot
The Hôtel du Rond-Point des Champs-Élysées has belonged to Madame Villette-Vuitton’s family since the end of the 19th century. In 1922 two floors and a typically elegant 1920’s façade were added. Esprit de France’s recent refurbishments pay tribute to all the original 1920 features, from the Art Deco canopy and marble elements outside to the wine bottle glassware and the tin radiator covers within.
The hotel name, rond point (roundabout) evokes an abundance of styles and genres inciting difference and travel. Refurbishing encompassed carefully selecting each decor to create a poetic, bohemian-chic universe with a hint of nostalgia, as well as hunting down antiques to pair with the modern furniture to create visual and timeless contrast. The result is a delightful feeling of peacefulness as if time had stopped.
We stayed in the Prestige room with Terrace with a view of the Eiffel Tower. It was so My Parisian lifestyle. The terrace lets you have guests, a glass or two. With the privilege of a private outdoor area. Some mornings we would grab and newspaper and have coffee and tea outside.
For those late nights and early mornings in the 20’s style, dining area breakfast is served until 10:00 am. Where the staff treats like a Queen. What we really appreciated was that they had so many healthy options. They were always suggesting healthy and vegan options. The porridge with fruit was a hit, and the freshly squeezed juices didn’t disappoint either.
While on the terrace you can wait for the Eiffel Tower to turn on the glittering lights. With a picturesque view to enjoy in your own little hideaway behind one of the most famous shopping streets in the world.
There are restaurants and cocktail lounges in the neighbourhood for a late-night treat salty or sweet. And now some locations even have shisha if that is your thing.
Pool and Wellbeing Facilities
The plus to staying at this hotel was Pool and wellbeing facilities. We packed our swimsuits, especially for this occasion. The Pool, steam room and sauna were like our private getaway in between our outings in the city.
It is also the hotel’s brand new addition. The basement level was specially dug out to house an enchanting atmosphere for the new thermal leisure area. The diaphanous beige tiles and the bright lighting instantly induce a sensation of serenity and wellbeing.
With comfortable changing rooms open onto a 43ft pool, with a long, boldly-striped sofa on the side to enjoy a drink after your swim. A traditional hammam completes the facilities. It is for hotel guests only so you can have a special sexy evening in Paris by the Pool.
The pool and wellbeing facilities are open every day from 7am to 9pm
