It’s going to be Winter soon, have you gotten your winter moisturizers yet? Each season I change moisturizers. For summer, I love an extremely light moisturiser or a serum. For winter I prefer heavy creams that aren’t greasy on my skin. If you haven’t gone through winter moisturiser yet, it doesn’t mean your face has to crack and suffer. I will be here to guide you in which moisturisers are great for the Winter season.
1. Meta-Pora Truly Hydrating Daily Moisturiser

Two Keywords: Vegan & Hyaluronic Acid. One of the most hydrating and soothing moisturizers out there. Meta-Pora strives for radiant, soft, hydrated skin, throughout the day and night. Personally, I use this moisturizer at night. Especially when it’s fall. My skin starts to get dryer than usual. It is the perfect moisturiser. Even in the morning, my skin looks refreshed. Not only does it moisturise but it also has a lime extract to even out patchy skin and promote a healthy glow. Meta-Pora also included one of my favourite oils Rosehip oil. Rosehip oil is rich in vitamins and antioxidants, fatty acids. Rosehip oil is great for acne hyperpigmentation. Overall, one great moisturizer. I also love the fragrance of this moisturizer.
2. Goldfaden MD Detox Hydrating Gel

Upon running out of products in my old beauty routine; I decided to opt for a new one. I wanted a moisturizer that was just ALL ONE ACNE-FIGHTING ingredient. One of the problems with acne moisturisers; they are either too oily or too drying. Goldfaden MD Hydrating Gel meets right in the middle. Another Vegan Moisturizer. I’m so happy that there are more vegan products on the market. Not only does it moisturize your skin but it has anti-inflammatory ingredients for those cystic acne breakouts. I highly recommend this moisturizer if you have inflamed/congested skin. If not used properly, it can peel off the skin.
Here are my two tips for using the Hydrating Gel
- I’ve learned less is more. You only need 1-2 pumps no more. It is a gel after-all, it spreads really well.
- Let it sit on your face for 2-5 minutes before you put on your primer or foundation.
3. CUBID CBD Re:Fresh Face Cream

Cannabis beauty is making a way to the top. Studies show that cannabis in your beauty products is great for healing, moisturizing the skin. It also can minimise signs of ageing. Cubid’s CBD Re:Fresh Face cream contains 125mg of Hemp Oil and 66% CBD and other cannabinoids. Honestly, this is one amazing moisturizer. It feels like velvet on the skin. It is so lightweight. Also scentless. Giving your face a fresh-looking start and naturally radiant glow. Not greasy at all and it’s suitable for all skin types.
4. Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré

The moisturizer that every Make-Up Artist I know swear by. My Embryolisse I bring with me whether it’s for a fashion show, photo-shoot or just travelling, it is my preferred. For travelling Embryolisse gives my skin the hydration it needs from all that artificial air cool. When I’m on set, it is magic to my skin especially after long hours of wearing heavy make-up at work. One of the best benefits of Embyrolisse It’s a moisturiser, primer, and make-up remover. The natural ingredients used are shea butter, beeswax, emollient oils to give you a natural radiant glow. A great boost for those with tired and dull skin. And for those who are on Accutane, I highly recommend. A few weeks back when my skin was falling apart with cracks and dry skin from Isotretinoin, Embryolisse was the only moisturizer that successfully moisturized my skin.

We ALL love Weleda Skin Food. But if you’re like me, sometimes the heavy moisturisers aren’t good for you as they leave your skin oily all day long. I have oily-prone skin. So I only use Skin Food when I’m either on set for long hours or cracks on my lips or dry patches. Weleda recently released their Skin Food Light; which is a delight for me. Skinfood light is much more lotion textured, less oily but still nourishing the skin.
9. Elemental Herbology Water Soothe Facial Oil

This is a powerful little serum. It has 14 nourishing plans and essential oils, including Chamomile, Rose Damask, Rosehip Oil, Chia Seed Oil. It’s a great wat to use as a rich facial treatment for very dry skin. It’s a dry-skin treatment to put on before your moisturizer. Oily skin can still benefit from this magical serum. Great for those with normal to dry skin. If you’re wondering what it smells like, it smells like a rose but very subtle. Although there isn’t any Rose listed as an ingredient.
