Fashion – Fashion Week
Seoul Fashion Week may be over but we still cannot forget the creations which caught our eye walking down the runway. Even though SFW is still relatively new and not so well-known, it has nothing to fear and can easily compete with the fashion weeks of the West. Here are seven designers and their brands from SFW that we fell totally in love with:
Designer Ha Dong Ho created again a collection which stayed true to the brand’s unisex character and its motto of “link the lines between men and women and among different generations with cloth.” The collection for F/W19 mixed and matched odd fashion combination which created a harmonious result between different colors and fabrics.
D.GNAK, created by designer Kang Dong Jun, is a fashion brand of experimentalism and eclecticism which shows its uniqueness though the use of tailor-made clothes with achromatic colors, innovative silhouettes and twisted details. The brand’s F/W19 collection displays monochromatic colors with the addition of pops of colors such as white and red.
Known for combining fast fashion and luxury fashion, Bak Hwan Seong created D-ANTIDOTE, a brand which is known for its athleisure aesthetics. The latest collection was inspired from the movie “Space Jam” and mixed bright colors with metallic, in basketball-inspired outfits which had futuristic tone as if the models were walking straight out of the movie.
Designer Chang Kwang Hyo, who is well-known for his love for colors, stayed true to his philosophy in his new collection. The models walked the catwalk in creations which combined a variety of colors and they were later added an oversized apron to add more color, patterns and textures to the suits.
Kwon Hye Hee’s brand, KYE, has its own unique character as its main objective is to create clothes which are fun and funky rather than being thinking about fashion as something chic and serious. This can be easily seen in the creations as it incorporates different details such as frills, cowboy boots and bandanas whose playfulness made this collection one of the most eye-catching.
The most popular men’s fashion brand in South Korea, SONGZIO HOMME, showcased its new collection for F/W19. Designer Song Ji Oh, showed once again that men’s fashion is all about simplicity and fine details. The models walked down the runway in stylish monochrome suits, which could be worn throughout the day, combined with black sandals setting the latest trend for the working man in the city.
This year’s new addition to SFW, Oh Jae Yong’s THE GREATEST, is a fashion brand whose motto is to introduce new trends through its clothes and make everyone who is wearing them the best. Through its clothes fine details and its stylish accessories, the brand quickly gained recognition as a street style brand with a more chic and stylish edge.
