This season I’m taking a break to focus on my career as a Style Editor and other business ventures. I regularly work with Iceberg whether it’s for advertorials, fittings or on the runway. Everyone knows me as the “Iceberg Girl”.
I was personally invited to view Iceberg Ready To Wear 2020 collection in Milan. Of course, I was coming. I adore James Long. I headed to Milan for what was supposed to be 1-day, ended up staying the weekend. As a special guest on their show, I had an appointment with their PR to do some shopping.
I do not follow trends. I do tend to wait until they are out of season. Although I have a big love for high waisted trousers, low-rise jeans will always catch my heart.
When I am putting together an outfit I grab once eye-catching piece, to begin with, and build from there. The first item I grabbed was a pair of Green Cowboy inspired boots. I looked through the women’s sections looking for a white top. It is hard putting an outfit together on the go. Luckily, I went to the men’s section. I found the Iceberg logo trousers. I wore the women’s version in Iceberg A/W 2019. Then I headed on out. Putting together this outfit was easy once I went back to my hotel.
I remember I brought along my 2000 vintage Iceberg PVC Jacket and all I needed was a white crop top. I mixed it up with COE White Tee that coincidentally had Logo coloured in Green to match my western inspired boots.
Inspired by Aaliyah in the 2000’s era. I went tomboy with a hint of western cowboy.

The collection showed at Bagni Misteriosi (“mysterious baths”) in Milan. It was a beautiful day in Milan for this collection. Iceberg RTW 2020 is for confident women who like to stand-out. Although some say Long designs clothes for influencers personally it is NOT only for influencers, but confident-vibrant fashionista’s like me. It has a je ne sais quoi. It brings a lot of attention in the right way. Some of the pieces are so diverse they can be worn throughout all seasons.
The collection is statement pieces that are needed in your wardrobe. The collection has a 90’s psychedelic vibe. Some of the looks included vivid pastels, silk houndstooth dress, signature logos and sequins. James included all-white looks with fluorescent-green piped labels and a stunning black look “mermaid gone bad” closing the show.
