As a seasoned woman, the dating game has changed since I was twenty. It is the first time that I have seen twenty-year-olds not be able to get multiple dates. It seems that it is hard to get a date or meet someone at any age in this decade. What are my tips for the next decade?
Dating in 2020
My first recommendation would be to get off your phone and be present. Secondly, I would advise to get off all those horrible dating apps too. Then fall in love with yourself before you try to find a mate or a date. If you do not love yourself, how do you expect someone else to love you?
Age is just a number. Seasoned women and men are dating younger. While the mature young generation is also dating up. This new click of daters actually want to have a conversation and not look on their phones while out to dinner. Some of us do not even ask for the wifi code, we want to enjoy the moment with the new crush.
Last Spring, tired of my own and other girlfriends relationship fails and marriage problems. I personally removed myself, stopped looking for MR. Goodbar, and got out there. My friends and I declared that whatever we had to do, we were going on vacation.
Guess what? We did and actually meet men we would date in relife. Even though most were unavailable because they were on boys trips. The point is we meet them, drank with them and did drugs with them.
Dating Culture Today
We kissed a few frogs on the way, and some had an affair with married men. I am not saying there still aren’t issues with how men approach you, but we a confirm meeting someone the old fashion way is more fun. It has cured our tribe of searching on dating apps.
Another question that was raised is why married men are more available than single men? The joke between the ladies was why did the women who had an affair get more action from the married man? Then the women who hooked up with single guys? Sadly we meet a lot of married men willing to splurge on a good time.
Another conclusion we came up with was not all guys like women with fake boobs, fake asses and lips. Men like women who work out and have a few curves. We do not have to be perfect, except for our hair and nails. They do prefer a manicured women. Who is not afraid to take a risk. Will any of these summer romances last, or grow to something else?
Who knows, but the magical aspect is we meet people in person. When was the last time to meet someone in person? What I would really like to report is nice men to still exist. You just need to be aware of them when they are in your face. How can you if you are more interested in taking a selfie?
The best advice I can give is to get off your phone and look around. Your soulmate is walking by right now. Yet, if you are more consumed with social media, you will miss him, and the next girl will get him.
Let’s pledge to engage more people and get out there and mingle in 2020. Good guys are out there, and they want to meet us too. Not everyone wants to jerk off to your pictures. That is another topic for seasoned women talk.
