These days who doesn’t have a selfie stick or gadget to take amazing photos for your Instagram feed. For their 2019 Autumn/Winter campaign, Maje asked photographer Kristin LeeMoolman to get selfie-ing. Cause we all know selfies sell!
So, to #selfie or #nottoselfie? What if we looked at selfies with a new eye? In a campaign photographed by Kristin Lee Moolman for Maje’s 2019 Autumn/Winter collection, the brand decided to have a little fun with this modern phenomenon
Yes. Selfies. Every second, thousands of selfies are posted on social media networks – that billions of selfies a year. ‘Selfie’ is now in the dictionary and even has its own museum. Is this a reason to look down selfies?
No, not at all. Let’s have a little fun with them. That’s how we roll. It’s how we like it. In our collections and everything that makes us Maje, there is always a sense of liberation, openness and fun. Seeing the best in things and having fun with new trends and changes in our world. Perhaps, the only thing that never changes is being yourself. So for the 2019 Autumn/Winter campaign, we wanted to ‘selfie up’ Maje.
MAJE AW19 Campaign
Usually, you are taking the selfie but this time we’re behind the camera, It seems obvious but it is not natural. Going from one side of the camera to the other. Giving control. Selfies are all about one thing – sharing. Under the direction of KristinLee Moolman- Lucan Gillespie, Manuela Sanchez, Maria Miguel and CrystalZhang celebrate how we ‘stage’ and ‘perform’ our lives. What matters is not only how we see ourselves but what we choose to share with our friends and sisters- and the world.
So, what do you think? Selfie or not to selfie. Either way, Maje gives you a reason to look Instagram ready this fall.
