Women in sports, activism, and art is our topic of the day. With the announcement by Canada Goose that Sarain Fox, an indigenous artist, and activist, was officially named Goose Person. Goose People is a group of various ambassadors of the brand. They are everyday heroes who aspire to excellence and embody the values of the brand. CANADA GOOSE & SARAIN FOX CANADIAN INDIGENOUS ARTIST TEAM FOR GOOSE PEOPLE
Sarain Fox is an Anichinabe activist artist and host of Future History and VICE’s RISE (documentary series). Canada Goose and Sarain Fox began their relationship in 2017 and have since become partners in many initiatives. In 2018, she notably played a leading role in the brand’s “Generations of Warmth” campaign, which celebrates human relations and reveals the traditions of Sarain’s holidays with her mother.
Having a long-standing relationship with the brand, Sarain Fox has participated in many other moments with Canada Goose. In 2017, Sarain Fox teamed up with the brand to host a female high school basketball team from a community in northern Manitoba, only accessible by plane, for a tournament in Toronto. Prior to their match, the team attended a training session with Cory Joseph, then a Raptor player. In 2018, she attended the opening of the Canada Goose store in Beijing.
