Mizuno launched the « 90’s athletics » inspired by the classic icon of the brand « Wave rider ». The brand is now taking over the fashion market.
Lifestyle fever is taking over Muzino. The brand is trying to get on the streetwear market with the 90’s athletics sneaker. The sportswear brand stays loyal to the original model: the wave rider created in 1997. Now they are adding a touch of lifestyle and vibrant colors such as orange purple and pink.
The Japanese brand is getting on its fashion side without leaving their sports mind. They created a new category: « SportStyle ». Nicolas hope, managing director of Mizuno France stated: « Mizuno is recognized for the technicality of its products. Now the RB-line, our category « sportstyle », will allow us to highlight our brand on the fashion branch, by making relieving our icons ».
1906 marks the beginning of the brand. Launched by Rihachi Mizuno, they specialized themselves in sports pieces of equipment and sportswear. Then, they quickly made a wide variety of items for different sports such as golf, tennis, baseball, volleyball, football, running, rugby, skiing, cycling, judo, table tennis, badminton, boxing, and athletics.
This year, the brand take in the second step of the line development. In France, Fabien Grimaud in charge of the lifestyle department and Katiana René responsible for the category’s marketing and the events of the brand have placed in a network the first models at 145 euros. A position which allows the collection to be adequate with the actual prices on the sneaker market.
