“Real Models Matter”
Here I got to catch up with miss Somalia Knight. Somalia is Somalian/German, born in Florida, USA. Somalia has been modeling for quite a while now. She blew up in the last few seasons. She debuted her first big show Desigual. Following that Somalia opened Tracy Reese. She also starred in Esprit global campaign. Even with Somalia’s unique distinctive look, she had been bullied growing up. She has the most beautiful Bambi features that match that her peculiar ears. Somalia is all about her career. She hopes to make it big and set an example about bullying. At the moment she is only signed with MiLK London. Standing at 5’11 she’s sure to rock this Spring/Summer 2019.
Full Name: Somalia Knight

SC: What was your first memory of fashion?
Somalia: My first memory in fashion hands down is coming home Wednesdays from school to watch Americas Next Top Model! As a child it was exciting to see the life, the photo shoots and the runways. I would literally practice my “Tyra” walk on the sidewalk in front of my home!!
SC: How were you discovered?
Somalia: I was on a family vacation in New Jersey, and someone scouted me on a Bus coming from NY.
SC: What has been your favourite modelling career moment so far?
Somalia: Everything I’ve done in my career has a special place in my heart. My favourite is a tie between opening my first show with Tracey Reese, and my first international campaign for Esprit.
SC: Who is your dream designer to walk or work for?
Somalia: My dream designer has changed over the years, at the moment it has to be for Helmet Lang by Shayne Oliver and Oscar De La Renta.
SC: Snapchat or Instagram Stories?
Somalia: Instagram stories ( I do use Snapchat filters) lol
SC: What is your signature feature?
SC: What is your must have on the road beauty product?
Somalia: My MUST have while traveling is coconut oil! I can’t live without it!
SC: What are you up to when you’re not modelling?
Somalia: I was bullied a great deal when I was younger, so while I’m not modelling I’m either speaking to youth especially kids in middle school about bullying or trying to find ways to help in anyway I can for the cause.
SC: Where do you see yourself in five years?
Somalia: In five years I hope to have a great career, hopefully (fingers crossed) to at least start a family.
SC: What model do you look up to?
Somalia: I look up to Naomi Campbell, Tyra Banks and Karlie Kloss.
SC: What would you change about the modelling game?
Somalia: I would definitely remove how important Social Media is in the fashion industry. #realmodelsmatter
SC: What are you listening to right now?
Somalia: I’m listening a lot to SZA, Florence and the Machine and Kendrick Lamar ( getting ready for his concert)
SC: Runway or Commercial?
Somalia: Hard question. Runway is the love of my life, Commercial is the love of my bank accounts!! (LOl)
