MAKEUP MONDAY| HAUTE COUTURE F/W 2014 BACKSTAGE BEAUTY
Spend this Makeup Monday backstage with HAUTE COUTURE FALL/WINTER 2014 Paris fashion week runway show & ELIE SAAB with beauty highlights from the show.
The coiffure Orlando Pita and his team went for a sleek bun with a side part reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn coif in the film Funny Face. The team created a slicked back into perfection bun; with a tight knot like ‘French Twist’ hairstyle for the runway show. Ming Xi catches up on Instagram while she gets’ ready for her first look. Most big names in fashion rarely trust anyone except M.A.C Pro’s. The show’s makeup team was headed by Tom Pecheua and his l’Equipe M.A.C Pro.
The look was fresh and young like Cindy Bruna. A little gunmetal eye shadow was applied to eyes, to wake them up and to give the a litter shimmer. Lips were kept simple with a very pale orange to brighten up the fresh face. The look complement the shades of grey on the eyes and the cheeks were sunkissed.
At Haute Couture a lady always has to have her nails done. On hand backstage Anatole Rainey for M.A.C Pro and the nail team, applied a nude like ballerina pink to the nails to complement not distract from the collection by ELIE SAAB. The laquer complemented the champagne-colour cocktail dresses, and the over all palette of the collection: blue, pink, blush, black, white, and gray. The purpose was not to distract from the garments with pearls that would hit the runway. Sasha Luss gives us the complete beauty look in one shot.
