Anthony Vaccarello Spring 2013 collection was a grand kick-off to Paris Fashion Week. The outside venue very apropos for the avant-guarde collection that came down the concrete catwalk at the Docks en Seine. The crowd was full to capacity in anticipation of some of the top models we all know and love walking this show. This collection was full of angular cut micro minis in black & white; teal, copper and metallic animal prints popped up in eye catching separates with an almost futuristic military feel to them.
Creative Makeup Director for Estee Lauder, Tom Pecheaux, created a a look reminiscent to the reflections of water for Anthony Vaccarello’s Spring 2013 runway. He stated that the collection was powerful with a fluidness that was apparent in the draping of the fabric, wrapping around the model’s bodies. The beauty look achieved in the eyes was liquid-like creating the feel of water reflecting by using a layering technique of Pure Color Stay on shadow in pink zinc, sinister & zinc; blue eyeliner with a touch of metallic in Pure Color eyeliner in Kajal Intense duo of black/blue bringing out the strength in Vaccarello’s clothes. The lips were kept soft using Pure Color long lasting lipstick in Vanilla Truffle & Barely Nude. This barely there lip seemed to be a big trend on the runways for Spring 2013. So make sure you keep an eye out for this Pure Color collection by Estee Lauder due to hit stores in January.
