What Are You Wearing Under That Trend?
OK, summer is here and if you do not have that special someone in your life, time to stop Man Repelling. It’s hot and so are you. Let’s be honest with ourselves, a lot of the fashion trends that pass through each season aren’t exactly man catching. Harem pants for example. Peplums. Excessively long tunics that fall between dresses and shirts and emphasize everything they shouldn’t. But we love them anyway, because they’re cute and stylish for the time being. And we’re not going to fall victim of the women’s magazines that tell you how to dress to please a man. Please, our style is OUR style; if they can’t dig it, then screw ‘em. At least all the girls know we look good.
What are you really wearing under these trends? But joking aside, if we’re going to wear harem pants in public, we should make it up to our men (and women) in other ways. If we’re going to care so much about our daily outward appearance, why not also say what’s up to your bedroom clothes. Plus with today’s sheer clothing trend, you can pretty much have a day to night look already worked into your wardrobe.
Luckily, keeping up with lingerie trends is much easier and less expensive than your seasonal wear and fortunately, you can incorporate some of your trendy pieces into your bedroom wear to change it up and keep it fresh. If you aren’t currently kicking it with a line of lingerie in your fashion arsenal, I recommend starting with a strong foundation, just like you do with your style. By buying quality, simple sexy pieces, you are able to build off of them and make them new without spending a lot of money. Start with the basics of thigh high stockings, garters, corsets, and sexy underwear.
Then add in your favorite boots or hat of the year, slip on your bracelets and chunky earrings. This way you can get extra wear out of your favorite items while also giving a new look to your existing lingerie.Of course, if you wear the same base every time, he/she’s going to notice, so over time, add in little bright pieces–a red teddy here (if you get it in Tangerine Tango, you can jump in on the color of the year trend), a mesh tee there– and then after awhile you’ll just be able to mix and match. Much like your everyday. If you keep it sexy in the bedroom, or alley, whatever your thing is, your partner might forgive you for wearing drop-crotch pants and a sack of a tee (Girl. I know you look good, you don’t have to tell me, he just might not agree.)
