Fashion Moments: Meeting Anna dello Russo at the V&A
To kick off last London fashion week I decided to play it low key and do more cultural trend spotting, less shows more culture. I had the pleasure to meet the blog-a-lious Anna dello Russo at the V&A. As part of the lecture series third in a series of four Peroni Collaborazioni discussion experiences held on Friday the 17 February 2012 the day before London fashion 4 days kicked off. The blog lover Anna Dello Russo, the editor-at-large and creative consultant for Vogue Japan talked with Gianluca Longo about what makes Italian fashion so important, whilst sharing the principles and values that Italians have that make them such great designers and her life as a stylist turned fashion blogger icon.

I asked her about her blog and why she thinks blogging is so important. The main point she stressed was keep doing what you’re doing and video blogging will be the next big thing. She has described herself as “passionate fashionista”, and has confessed to owning a library of over 4,000 pairs of shoes. She dresses from top-to-toe in complete runway looks (“why would I change what looks so fantastic?”) and has an apartment next door to her Milan home – just for her collection of clothes.
