QASIMI HOMME Paris Men’s Fall-Winter 12/13 Video Blog

As I sat down I thought to myself this entire Paris Men’s Fall-Winter 12 /13 I haven’t seen any real urban wear, everything had a little bling, tailored suits,Trucker flannels, and high water pants, but nothing with an urban feel yet.

The designer Khalid Al Qasmi from the Unite Arab Emirates brought back today’s urban street couture to the runway of Paris Men’s Fall-Winter 12 / 13. Khalid debuted QASIMI HOMME in June 2009 in Paris. Qasimi get’s his inspirations for QASIMI HOMME from Socio-political issues, architecture as well as contemporary art; and the streets for his collections.
Swag: Casual hipster who skateboards and likes his street-wear tailored. The Expansion of Extremism and Eastern Spiritualism create Home-Boy Couture chez QASIMI HOMME. Now all you need is a baseball cap.
They key pieces have been inspired by historical military and religious uniforms from West to the East. It was nice to see it on the runway for a change and not the nightly news. The designer’s classic signature of combinations; poetic justice meeting masculinity is seen in the placement of check and floral prints on organza and poplin shirt and latex-shirts. Peppering a hint of romanticism onto an array of re-analysed touch army tailoring and American flight jackets. Qasmi also renders the Paris Men’s Fall-Winter 12 / 13 trend of romanticism paired with the masculinity of a sporty bloke who loves a good bomber/flight jacket.
