Suecomma Bonnie is the brainchild of Korean shoe designer Bohyun Lee. The designer loves the arts and in 2001 Bohyun decided to start her own shoe company. Style Cartel had a chance to check out the latest collection and ask the designer a few questions. Her shoes are hot and on our Lust List for the week. SC: Why do you do what you do?
Bohyun Lee for Suecomma Bonnie: The reason that I started suecomma bonnie is because I want to make shoes that I want to wear and share with all women in the world. I love to satisfy the women who have desire for shoes like me.
SC:What is your inspiration?
Bohyun Lee for Suecomma Bonnie: My inspiration comes from people. I meet my inspirations at the high end luxurious clubs, bars, some very touristic exotic place or a street in Paris. This woman is confident, modern, different, strong, powerful but very famine inside. They are Suecomma Bonnie for me. If I have to name my muse, sometimes it can be Gwyneth Paltrow or Kate Lanphear. Just imagine that my muse goes to party or red carpet where they can shine their chic and powerful beauty. This is the moment that I can see the Suecomma Bonnie woman.
SC: If you could be a super hero what super hero would you be?
Suecomma Bonnie :Wonder Woman. Representative character which shows the power of woman but she is still sexy
SC: Where did the name come from?
Suecomma Bonnie:Sue’ is phonetic sound of shoe and Bonnie is my English name.
SC: What is your favorite web site or blog?
Suecomma Bonnie: I don’t really visit websites or blogs much, I go visit some essential websites such as style.com when I need information about what is happening now in the industry to updated fashion news. I am still old-fashioned person, I love going through the old vintage books, drawings and painting to get inspired.
SC:What to you prefer Facebook, Twitter or Google
Suecomma Bonnie:I prefer Facebook. Twitter is too simplelized to share the information and to communicate with people for me, and Google is too vague.
SC: What is your sign?
Suecomma Bonnie:Scorpio, who has very percised differences between things I love and things I hate.
SC: What is on heavy rotation on you music devise?
Suecomma Bonnie: Very old electro house music. Classic piano music. From all different kinds of vintage music to the sound of today.
SC: Do you own an I-Pad
Suecomma Bonnie: I am not very high-tech person, but I love having the high-tech items with me and I enjoy using them. Yes I have both I-Pad 1 and 2.
SC: Why a shoe line?
Suecomma Bonnie: Well-made beautiful shoes give women confidence and a strength. I do believe the old saying “Great shoes leads and brings women to a great place in the world.”.
SC: Who do you design for?
Suecomma Bonnie: As I mentioned above, I design for the women who has a deep thirst for the beautiful shoes like myself. To satisfy their desire is to satisfy my desire.
SC: London/NYC/Paris/Dubai ?
Suecomma Bonnie: New York City. NYC feels always fresh and new as there are multiple-cultures are being crossed and existed where the changes are so fast and always happening.
SC: What is next for you?
Suecomma Bonnie: I would love to present my shoes to all the women all over the world by expanding my collection in a global market.
SC: If you could raise 1 million dollars for charity what charity would you give it to?
Suecomma Bonnie: I would love to give my shoes myself to children without parents or children who suffer from illness rather than giving money to the charity organization.
SC: What is coming up next for the brand?
Suecomma Bonnie: We are really starting get great feed-back in a global market. I will Http trying my best to maintain the best quality and the unique design of Suecomma Bonnie’s own to correspond to the interests and expectation from people and the global market.
