Prada Flash: Actor Michael Pitt for SS12 Campaign

Is it me or does the Actor Michael Pitt remind you of a young Leonardo DiCaprio? There is something about his tuff white boy swag, or is it the military injury, that keeps me coming back each week to watch HBO’s Boardwalk Empire staring Actor Michael Pitt. I feel bad for the Boardwalk bad boy and his latest life moments.  Well as least there is Prada S/S 2012 Mens collection.

The staging for the campaign Golden Age of Hollywood studio campaign is a series of performative portraits for Prada’s spring/summer 2012 menswear campaign with the brooding star of Martin Scorsese’s prohibition-era television epic Boardwalk Empire, Michael Pitt. Bernardo Bertolucci’s The Dreamers explores the language of male role models from the rock star to the playboy, from the self-reflective introvert to the engaging and humorous farceur. Now in the series we know that Michael Pitt does play a married playboy or should I say widowed one. We still love you.

Shot by world-renowned fashion and portrait photographer David Sims, the images are presented in rich tones and deeply saturated colours echoing 1950s studio portraiture, and subtly referencing the celluloid iconography of the Prada spring/summer womenswear campaign. The Great Gatsby even a little Be-Witched swag trend for men this SS12 and its all about the hot boys. I would not mind walking down the street with my man in the collection.
