Model Madness | Charlotte Free

Model Charlotte Free is only 18-years-old and hails from Los Angeles. She was discovered while shopping in an arcade. Charlotte is one of the ‘IT’ girls busting out this 2011 Fashion week season on the catwalk.

Her platinum-bleached and fluorescent pink -dyed hair makes her stand out, the leader of the new pack of renegade models. A tribe of their own with personality & androgynous looks.

Free’s pink coif caught Dame Vivienne Westwood’s eye, who chose her to open her Red Label collection at London Fashion Week. At Topshop Unique, where every model’s hair was tightly-styled into two top-knots, Charlotte’s pink variation was the most memorable. Charlotte also has memorable grill and piercing crystal blue eyes, that must be the LA gangsta in her.

What I think is so cool is that this teen model is a kitchen beautician, she dyes her hair herself, bleaching and coloring it from the comfort of her own home.

This fashion show season 2011 saw the American girl picking up bookings day after day. At New York Fashion Week her spunky pigtails were on display at Jeremy Scott and Richard Chai; this 5ft7 shorty swaged her way throughout London and in Paris.  The Paris highlight was  at Limi Feu, where she gave us the punk 50′s soul clash vibe with a little 80′s Boy George style twist.

I love her tough girl style, she is a total tomboy and full of swag. Even though she isn’t that tall, the streets are whispering that she is the next Kate Moss.

Her favorite food, Lemons. I think maybe she caught the re-runs of the Cosby Show and her favorite character was Rudy Huxtable. We have to thank her ex-boyfriend for the hair, depression makes women do the craziest things.
