Runway Report Alberta Ferretti Spring 2012 Collection
Now that the world has to ponder over another double dip recession consumers still want quality when they are going to purchase expensive garments and Alberta Ferretti did just that for Spring /Summer 2012.She thought about the elements of quality and what her customer wants next.
Alberta entitled her collection “the poetry and mystery.” She applied a technique called intaglio, duplicating tribal tattoos & primal graphics in chiffon mounted on tulle.

The collection drew on Zulu motifs and colours for dresses composed entirely of countless tiny beads applied by hand. Ferretti went into the jungle with bush prints and showed her side of the graphic print trend for Spring 2012.

Trend: Out of African vibe of a foreigner living in Kenya circa 1940S. A sarong-styled tulle skirt came down the runway as well as a twist on the cargo skirt and paint. There were trenches for rainy days to cover up the crochet white dresses.

Show Notes:
Makeup: Minimal makeup very natural look. From the desert to the street.
Hair: Slick back wet look easy to manage hair.

Swag: Ethnic cultural vibe is an everyday must for her. Her wardrobe has to have a little something extra either on the garment or her bag.

The look is not over the top, but once you look deeper you can see the poetry in the making. She likes easy breezy clothes that she can travel with including a LBD for every occasion.
