Runway Report Ralph Lauren Spring 2012 Collection
Trend: Ralph Lauren returned to the 1974 version of the The Great Gatsby, when he designed costumes for the 1974 adaptation starring Robert Redford. I have to admit I loved that book, so this collection spoke to me. Dresses with dropped waists and vintage-inspired necklines.
It was a garden party at Ralph Lauren Spring 2012 collection. We saw a parade of beautiful silks and delicate crepe de chine in an array of whitewashed pastels and a great many cloche hats. Pale lips and rosy cheeks for the natural look with a bit of color was the right touch to complete the look. The make up gave off a fresh flushed face reminiscent of the sudden heat of springtime. This Pink biker jacket with the perarls makes our Lust List for sure. Baby pink makes a come back at Ralph Lauren.

Crisp white and pale pink dresses and suits flanked ostrich feather ornamented frocks all suitable for chic spring dressing and a picnic in the park. Along side a little mystery and maybe a few white lies.
