Vivienne Westwood Autumn/Winter Collections 2011/12
This youthful collection by Vivienne Westwood was a throw back to iconic 70s and 80s Westwood. It was a punk parade mixed in with a little pirate, mini crinis and bondage being re-invented another key trend we have seen at other houses. The looks are paired with mini black berets and disheveled straw hats reminiscent of the Glamour of the 50′s.

And of course the corset enhanced the synched waists oh so very Westwood. It was also about colour and prints the collection had skirts made in floral prints and summer dresses made from gingham. Perfect with the iconic strappy pirate boots, there was another pair of pink suede coquette boots that were to die for.
Following the launch of the Vivienne Westwood Anglomania + Lee collaboration last season, the Anglomania Spring Summer 2011 the showroom also previewed the second collection. On show were denim jackets and waistcoats painted in metallic iridescent rainbow colours.
Bondage is defiantly back for the women’s wear collection with Bondage Shorts in an over dyed blood red, the Ergonomic pedal pushers, the Artifice mini-skirt, a drunken style dress, a shirt, 2 styles of waistcoat and 3 styles of vests & t-shirts. The disco side of Westwood came out to give us a little gold number for the coquette in you to show off your figure.
Some of my favourite accessories were made of recycled fabric and a great buy not only for the causes they support, but also the price point is not that bad either a great look for the season.
The motto for next season by VW "buy less, choose well, wear it over and again and have fun with your own ideas".
