Basil Soda A/W 2011 Collection Preview
If you didn’t know Basil Soda is a Lebanese designer, who also worked under the legendary Elie Saab. He studied architecture and hat making back in his native Beirut, where he eventually opened a boutique. Here is a preview of his Fall/Winter 2011 collection.
For this Fall 2011 collection he brought back black a mist the sea of colour and trends other houses followed for this fall 2011. He plays homage to the lovers of black in the world and gave the collection some attitude.
The shoulders gave you that 80s power feel and the leather jackets added a little rock and roll to the collection. He added texture and gathering to add movement to the garments and options with pants where you could go sleek and sexy, under a skirt or keep it skinny with a track suit feel.
The influences of the Byzantine empire gave the tough luxe biker jacket looks the bling they need to keep it chic.
