Nicole Miller Fall 2011 Best Looks

Nicole Miller was very futuristic sci-fi flick, like Gattaca, starring Uma Thurman, even Jada Pinkett Smith in the Matrix. Minimalism is the key trend here for fall 2011.

Miller set the stage with prismatic digital prints with added color blocking on body hugging dresses, silk tops, and a cocoon coat.

Some pieces had sequins for the Glam effect; you could see that some of the influence came from the streets of Paris.

Geometry was a key element, seen on the neatly constructed fabrics, on asymmetrical busty dropped necklines. There were lean flared pants accented with leather, and vests that curved in front, long point belted over wide trousers.

This collection was all about the future and arming yourself for whatever Mother Nature might throw at you. Blocks of different shades of blue gray’s added the burst of color.

The coats and vests were made from astrakhan; soft, thick black leather; and neoprene. The charcoal wool cape showed that another key trend will remain a fashion staple (Nicole Miller was not the only one) capes are on the runway for fall 2011.
