Gucci Fall 2011 Best Looks

For me to start Milan Fashion week off with the Fall 2011 collection for Gucci was amazing! It was as if the Gucci family sent an explosion of color down the runway today. The entire show had my mouth wide open. I love the color and texture of the garments that came down the runway. Next fall is all about the burnt orange and deep purples for Gucci. They have brought sexy back in a classy sophisticated way.

The floating clouds of colorful fur on the runway reminded me of a vision of pimps in Harlem in the 20’s on a cold wintesr day on the street corner with the backdrops of a brownstone and a caddy parked outside. Fall 2011 looks at Gucci gave us masculine accents, glimpses of patent leather fora lady of mystery and irony.

According to Frida Giannini “ This is a contemporary female dandy who fuses glamour and seduction using the iconic codes of the House. She is a polished woman with a decisive personality, who is attentive to detail and willing to dare.”

I loved the fact that the accessories were colorful and did not have the GG everywhere. This was totally 70′s with the influence of the forties.
