What you mustn’t do after it is applied:

DO NOT shampoo or wet your hair for at least four days.

AVOID exercise that may dampen the hair with perspiration

DO NOT tie your hair up in any way.

USE sulphate free shampoo & conditioner

PRICING

It all depends on the length and quantity of hair you want straightened. The price range for shortest to longest & thickest hair is £50 – £150 at TONI&GUY.

QUESTIONS OFTEN ASKED:

Q:  Can you apply the treatment over a Japanese straightener, relaxer, colouring, chemically treated or highlighted hair?

A: Yes, you can do the treatment over any kind of colour, highlighted or hair straightened using other techniques. But we would recommend that you wait two weeks first.

Q: Can you do the treatment on virgin hair?

A: Yes it can be done on virgin hair but the results won’t last as long as a treatment performed on previously coloured or chemically treated hair.

Q: Can I colour my hair after or before the treatment?

A: Yes, we recommend you colour the hair first and immediately follow up with our keratin straightening treatment. Otherwise wait two weeks after you have done the treatment.

Q: Can I shampoo my hair after the treatment?

A: Wait four days after the straightening treatment. You don’t want to wash the keratin out.

Q: Can I wear a ponytail or tie my hair?

A: No. Again, wait four days after the treatment.

Q: What shall I do if my hair gets wet during the first few days after the treatment?

A: I would recommend that you blowdry immediately, and flat iron if necessary.

Q: Can I go into the pool or ocean after treatment?

A: Try not to. The treatment is washed out more rapidly by sodium chloride and chlorine. Sodium chloride (salt) is in sea water and chlorine is in most swimming pools and spas.

Q: How long will the treatment stay on my hair?

A: Three to four months on all types of hair.

Q: Do I have to do a touch up on my next visit or the whole head?

A: The entire head from roots to ends.

Q: When shall I have the treatment done again?

A: This should last you three to four months so you can wait until then. It really all depends on how your hair reacts and what you need.

Q: Can I do the treatment every month?

A: Yes, the treatment is completely safe to do every four weeks.

Q: What if I don’t want to repeat the treatment again. Will it matter?

A: No. The keratin will eventually wear off completely without leaving any sign of re-growth.

Q: Can I do the treatment while pregnant or nursing?

A: We do not recommend doing any treatment, chemical or not.
