Backstage at Giles Deacon Paris Fashion Week A/W 2010

Backstage at the Giles Deacon show in Paris it was mayhem, hair and and makeup had to be done before show time and looking the hair in post show time, it was going to take some time.  The head hairdresser yelled “start putting on the mouse!”

Of course not all the models were there they glided in by chauffeur driven car, to find some needed to still be fitted and then oh the hair!

The show was gong to be big, many of today’s hottest supermodels like of Jessica Stam, Carmen Kaas, Rosie Huntingdon Whiteley and Coco Rocha being pampered by MAC Cosmetics and hair courtesy of Toni & Guy.

The inspiration was heroines from a Hitchcock movie, the hair was beehive big reminiscent of the movie The Birds, with moussed hair dried and backcombed into a messy French pleat with “hair neat waffling” blow-dried in to the front and back.I felt for the team of hair dressers, they had one shot to watch and learn!

Make-up, presided over by Terry Barber, MAC’s Director of Artistry, was a case of “demure sexiness” girls looking “glossy, tweaked and have a strong make-up look that is creamy and perfect. The real Hitchock heroine.”
