R.I.P. Mr. McQueen
Today was a sad day for me I lost two great entities in my life. Today reminded me of Paris, where I obtained my
MBA in Luxury brands and Fashion. My pride and joy of my studies was my website created to address the issues of Body and Dress politics in Fashion. The aim was to analyze British Designers and their translation of the female form on the runway.
I choose Alexander McQueen of course. I wrote about how for him his ideal woman was a warrior woman. An eccentric woman who ran with the wolves and lived life on the edge. His ideal femme fatal was strong and powerful and loved a tailored look.
We lost one of this century’s greatest designers. In the office a few of us as Lisa put it “an UGLY BETTY” moment. We had to say good bye to one of the greatest. I have to say thank you to Vogue for the coverage of the events, they wrote with style and class respecting Mr. McQueen’s family, because no one really wants to read about all the details. I especially like to remember people at their greatest!
Oh my Parana died today too!
RIP Mr. McQueen you were to young to go! We love you too!
