Sex and the City, the sequel

The girls are back, after two years of absence. Of course, the bad sequel spectre is hanging around SATC2. I can’t help but wonder, was a sequel truly necessary? I hadn’t liked the first movie and I have high doubts on my appreciation of the second one, visual shopping aside.

The trailer opens on “Empire State of Mind” and an aerial view of New York. One thing is for certain, the city truly is the fifth cast member.

Fashion-wise, Carrie is up to her old tricks. Along with what looks like her new upmarket address, Carrie is wearing a Halston dress, a gold Chanel clutch and Mykita & Bernhard Willhelm sunglasses and a Solange Azagury-Patridge necklace. Way to go recession-friendly in your choices, SJP!

The biggest shock of all is that Manolo is no longer Carrie’s one and only (and I’m not talking Big here). Louboutins and YSL’s Tributes are also featured. Perhaps they should have put JLo’s Louboutins as soundtrack?

Brunching, travelling to Morrocco, a catwalking, this little gem is planned for May in the US and quite possibly some time later here.
