Paris Fashion Week S/S 10: Akris
The Akris show this morning was exciting for me, because I had excellent memories of the previous year, which had proved very beautiful and thrilling (I went over to meet Kate Lanphear).
I was not dissapointed.
The entire collection is jaw-droppingly gorgeous and “The next chapter. [...] A signature statement.”

With a palette of colours such as sky, ecru, cayenne, slate, garnet and so on, Albert Kriemler combines tailored cuts and sensual, tactile fabrics for a collection that is both sharp and feminine, without being unnecessarily edgy.
Most exciting was the debut of the Akris handbags: signature Ai with its trapezoidal form and my new favourite, the Amata frame bag were among the offerings.

Overall, I was left with the impression of seeing the clothing that suited the elegant 21st century woman, as I imagined it as a child. Something future-proof.

I had forgotten how beautiful Tao Okamoto is but this reminded me of my biggest model-crush!!
