I want to be “Made” to Relax Diary: Day Two Arrivals
We arrive in Doha from London and it’s about 12:15 AM we have an hour to wait for our flight to Male. Great one hour for duty free shopping. The airport is packed with people flying to Dubai, South Africa, Shanghai and many other destinations in Asia. When it hits me we are close to Asia and soon we will be in the hot sun of the Maldives.
Once we arrive in Male’ International Airport we were meet by representatives and escorted to Kanuhura’s private Keema Lounge where we were served a delicious iced tea and homemade chocolate chip cookies. Let the vacation begin! Here we waited to check into hotel, look out the list of activities we can participate in on the island. All while we wait for our seaplane to arrive which we will embark on a 40-minute flight to destination Kanuhura.
The view from up above
In the lounge we were given a list of activities for the day. I was happy to notice that a Hatha yoga class was on the schedule for 6:30 PM. Oh did we need a stretch after two flights threw 3 different times zones. My neck and back where hurting something awful and a good stretch sounded perfect to kick of the week of much needed rest and relaxation.
The Plane-the Plane
The seaplane is privately run by Maldivian Air Taxi, which operate daily between sunrise and sunset, scheduled to fit in with international arrivals and departures. The seaplane is only big enough for know more the 15 people including captain and crew. When we saw our plane we where glad we packed light. Even though we were still in our winter gear boiling because it was so hot. Why did I decided to wear black? I did look chic, but I was burning but happy to feel the sun on my face.
We embarked on our breathtaking flight over hundreds of pearl -like islands of the Maldives. When we touched down in style on the deep waters of the resort’s great private lagoon, where the Kanuhuar’s staff greeted us on the 200-meter jetty. Kanuhura is one of the first Luxury resorts in the Maldives and offers the most unique experience to its guest’s and our journey just kicked off with the breathing-taking ride.
Prepare for Landing
Kanuhura is your own secret hide a way in the Indian Ocean. You get to feel the culture with the local and international staff of many of the neighboring countries all brought together here to give you’re the most interesting experience. After we meet the staff, where treated to more tea and an ice-cold towel to wipe or brow’s with. We were then escorted to our Bungalow by the lovely Miki who then introduced us to our Villa Host the lovely Hari who unpacked our luggage and showed us around. The island swank-ness has untouched beauty with a contemporary feel and stylish personalized service to our villas “Thank You Hari!”

The Beach Villas are dotted along both sides of the island, opened onto the white sand and indigo sea.
The View
Just by looking at the bed was incredible. The King sized customised bed is draped with sheer fabric overhead and bed linens of the optimum Egyptian cotton and customised Sealy Posturepedic mattresses. Kanuhura encompasses 100 villas in five different categories, all with sea views and access to their own private white sand beach or private wooden staircase leading straight down into the clear waters. We would swim with the fishes with know one around to see!
Fit for Queen
The magic of the Water Villas is how much detail there is. Rooms are light and airy, yet remain protected from prying eyes by curving plastered walls and, on the reef side, by high wooden shutter screens. Perfect of romantic get a ways. 
The enormous bathrooms have openings in the floor so that guests can watch the fish pass beneath. Each villa has a spacious bathroom with an outdoor shower and free form bath tube with shower hose. They are authenticated with the natural elements of Maldivian magic and warmth.

Each villa comes equipped with remote controlled air conditioning, ceiling fan, colour satellite flat screen TV’s, el-safe and I-Pod docking station. Let the private party begin.
