I cannot wait to have our private class with Vishnu who states” Peace of Mind is Happiness” and encourages everyone to adapt his motto “Health is Wealth.”His Holiness Swami Mahadevanandji Maharaj and Shivaswarupananda initiated Vishnu into the yogic practices since 1999. He has TTC diploma in Yoga from the International Shivananda Yoga Vedanta Ashram in Canada and India and Yoga Philosophy from Divine Life Society, India. He is member of the prestigious yoga society the “True World Order” and also conducted many Yoga retreats and workshops in several resorts and hospitals in India.

Hatha Yoga
Hatha yoga arose at the beginning of human civilization. When humans first realized ones physical and mental potential, they began to evolve techniques to develop it. Physical and mental therapy is one of hatha yoga’s most important achievements. What makes it so powerful and effective is the fact that it works on holistic principles of harmony and unification. Hatha Yoga has succeeded as an alternative form of therapy in disease.

He encouraged or practice and quoted Bikram himself showing his wide knowledge of Yoga. When asked how many times a week should you practice he stated, you eat everyday, you sleep everyday and you brush your teeth everyday right, then do yoga everyday! The benefits are a balanced life, peace, serenity, confidence in ones self and a fit body with out having to go to the gym or run. OH and if you do Bikram everyday you can eat whatever you want in moderation. Vishnu is against diets, he says they are just for the moment, but the key is to adapt a life style.
Vishnu also comments on diet being a vegetarian he does not push it. He says eat everything in proportion and lower your Glucose in take; for example to diet and just eat two bananas is not healthy because they are loaded with sugar, better off to eat grilled chicken with veggies because its healthier! It is also a healthy choice to alternate each day between meat and fish, cut out potatoes and pasta, yet brown rice is great for the carbohydrate craving and try to do a day where you just eat vegetables.
