Diary: Day 2 Settling In kanuhura.com.mv

Now that we are settled and ready for a fabulous break from the hustle and bustle of London we decided to go get something to eat poolside.  Boy are we tired and famished, but oh the sun.  Via my Twitter following I was Twitted to the fact that New York City received a foot of snow and they closed schools for the day.  OH how I hate to be me right now.

Miki Nishida the Sales Executive for Kanuhura organized our trip suggested the pool side restaurant  Olive Tree for lunch which serves Mediterranean food à la carte.  We meet for drinks to discuss what activities she had planned for us while we yearned to relax for a week.  The purpose of the trip relax, release and get a tan.

I decided to start with a watermelon juice yummy!!  For a starter the
Yellow lentil soup with chilli oil, lemon and fried pita bread, its always good to have soup in hot weather it cools the body down.  Especially in 86 degree F/30 C and for my main course I choose the Frito misto of prawn and white snapper fille and Fennel and parsley salad.

What a meal I wanted to stay healthy on this trip maybe even lose some weight from all the activities planned.  How could I go wrong with a diet full of for fresh fish, fruits and vegetables served with every meal. The Maldives is famous for its seafood.  My goal was to eat a lot of protein and fruits and veggie.

This idea lasted five minutes.  All it took was the sweet smile of our Philippians’ waiter Denis who coaxed us into having some homemade  pineapple & strawberry sorbet. “Just a little it’s homemade and you’re on vacation!  Live a little ladies!” Sorbet is not bad right?

OK now we have to do some Hatha yoga!!  Off to catch the first few raise of sun and a swim before the Moon Salutations class @ 6:30.
