Akris: Not quite backstage

Anna Wintour in first row, Kate Lanphear in second row and yours truly dorking it out further back but Akris was an awesome show: tailored to perfection silhouettes and muted colours. Jackets and coats were just that side of puffy to keep warm and fabrics showed a lot of work to get the patterns just so. Everything’s very wearable here, for work and play.

The goodie to end all goodies? A sketch of one of the coats and a tiny fabric sample! I love to see the work that went into pieces.

Outside the show, I waited a few minutes for my dad to come with my travel pass, which I had forgotten at home. Score! I saw the very cute Chanel Iman. Isn’t she the most gorgeous in teal and blues?
