Caroline Charles at LFW A/W 09

Caroline Charles showed her new Autumn/Winter 09 Collection at The Natural History Museum today.

The range was split into four sections, the first of which, Harvest Festival, was demonstrated with a romantic, country music, backdrop.  Caroline created a selection of outfits in muted brown tones, opting for utilising different fabrics over contrasting colours.  The models sported sensible, yet incredibly stylish boots designed by Judy Rothchild at R. Sole (www.rsoles.com).

Many of the muted brown items were teamed with delicate leopard print designs.  Again, Caroline’s contrasting textures really dazzled the audience which included some of London’s top fashionistas and business people such as Stuart Rose, CEO of Marks & Spencer.

Caroline quickly introduced new tones and designs into the show and combined delicate red patterns with the odd, black item.  She also featured several tweed items, both jackets and skirts.  The outfits proved to be entirely wearable and, will no doubt, influence the high street store designers.

Caroline included a sophisticated, black- and grey-toned range described as Urban Cool.  She teamed tailored, wool jackets, structured coats, with wide-leg flannel trousers and pencil skirts.  These will be must-have items for every businesswoman for the winter season.

The show ended with this stunning red outfit.  Caroline brought together many textures and this look was fit to end the show because it typified the range perfectly.  She brought together sparkle, matt, shiny and rough fabrics in not just one collection, but every single outfit displayed today.  Caroline may have used a limited number of colours, but the combination of different tones and textures created a range which was nothing but exceptional and vibrant.
