* Why Fashion?
Well I have always been into design in general since a young age. I guess it all started when I was 14 when I took up GSCE textiles, where I got a feel for it, then over the years the passion for it just grew; it only felt natural to me to progress in the flied.
* If it wasn’t fashion, then what else would you want to be?
That’s easy, a Vet, but never had the brains for it. Realistically I would be in some area of discipline in art, design and the creative arts.
* What was the inspiration for you collection?
A fusion of Art Deco Architecture in South Beach Miami, the Neon lights on the buildings representing the sequins glowing onto the pale soft colours of the buildings along the beach. Investigating how sequins and oversized sequins interact with drape and the human silhouette.
* Who is your mews? Who is your favourite designer?
I have yet to meet her. She’s defiantly a young sophisticated wealthy Russian woman.
Favourite designers, have to be Gianni Versace. A Legend, the way he made women look and feel was breath taking, I can only aspire to be a great as him one day. Gallianio for Dior, Christopher Kane & Marchesa are a few others.
* Who do you see wearing your clothes?
This collection caters for a wide range of women.
Again my mews, the wealthy Russian, a woman oozing class, elegance and sophistication.
Celebs wise, Kylie, Lady Gaga and Róisín Murphy in my more experimental pieces. As for my classic outfit, women like Cameron Diaz, Eva Longoria, Dita Von Teese (Gold Dress), Charlize Theron, Cate Blanchett & Anne Hathaway
* Who do you design for?
For women who can never have enough couture in their walk in wardrobes and want to always be surrounded by all things beautiful.
* What is playing on your I-phone/Pod right now?
Lady Gaga
Dreamgirls Soundtrack
Donna Summer
* I-phone or Nokia 5800?
I-Phone
* London or New York?
Love both!!! But I was born and brought up in London, so my heart will always be here.
